Get up earlier if you are not already an early riser. I am not a morning person, so this isn’t easy for me, but I make myself get up and have one hour of ultra productive time where I only focus on promoting published posts and especially engaging on social media. This is the time I comment on other blogs and posts as well as sharing my own blog posts posts by others.
I have a list I go down so I don’t get off track and I only do those things on my list each and every morning. I don’t always get through the whole list in that hour, but until that hour is up, I don’t move on to anything else that needs doing, especially checking email.
It’s all too easy to get distracted, fix things on your blog that need tweaking, or spend too much time sorting through emails, most of which are junk. Before you know it, half the day is gone and, though you were busy, busy, busy, what have you to show for it? Perhaps your to do list is a bit smaller, but did you promote and network; the two things that will really bring growth and profit?
